Women of Faith Conference

LifeGroup leaders, I want inform you of a great event coming up later this summer for our Ladies of Life. The Women of Faith conference is coming to Oklahoma and will be held on August 27 and 28 at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa. This two-day conference is an incredible opportunity for women to hear from some of the top speakers in the nation such as Sheila Walsh, Luci Swindoll and Michelle Aguilar, as well as experience some great worship music from such artists as Natalie Grant. Jennifer Hicks who is one of our awesome LifeGroup leaders is sharing her group rate with the rest of the campus for any ladies that would like to attend. The cost is $89 per person for the conference and does not include hotel. The Porn Event

I want to remind you that the The Porn Event will kick off this Sunday, May 23, and will run through May 28. This event is a partnership between LifeChurch.tv and XXXChurch.com in an effort to free men and women from the harmful effects of pornography.

This Sunday afternoon, we will be hosting a time for men at the Northwest campus to come together and watch The Porn Event live. We will meet in the Loop Room at 1:50pm and begin watching the presentation at 2:00pm. This will be a great opportunity to not just watch the event, but to also learn from it and apply it to our lives. If you plan on attending, please email Robert Davis at Robert.Davis@lifechurch.tv. Snacks will be served.

The Northwest Campus is Going Green

 Beginning this weekend at the Northwest campus, we are going to do our part to become better stewards of God’s creation as we launch our new Green Team. To kick things off, the campus will be starting a recycling program. You will notice recycling bins throughout the lobby for you to dispose of plastics, aluminum, and paper items.  Just remember to pour out liquids in the trash cans. Our volunteer-led Green Team will be available to help you, offer tips, and sort out the recyclables. In addition to using the recycling bins, we encourage you to bring your coffee mug and water bottles from home to refill at the campus. Thank you and your LifeGroup for doing your part in caring for the resources God gave us!

Northwest Campus Co-Ed Softball Team

In addition to the MoMENtum men’s softball team that is currently forming, there is also an opportunity to be part of a co-ed softball team that will represent the Northwest campus. The team will play on Friday nights at the Legacy Sports Complex and there will be a fee of $60 to join the team, which includes your t-shirt. Update on Upcoming Spring Classes

LifeGroup leaders, I want to make you aware of a quick change that has been made to the spring classes that begin this Sunday night at the Northwest campus. The What’s Next class for new believers will not be offered at this time, but will instead begin in April. There will be more details about the What’s Next class in the coming weeks. Also, the Five Love Languages class will not be offered at this time; however, the Love and Respect class that is also geared for married couples will still be offered. Please let your LifeGroup know about this change. The remaining three classes will still meet beginning Sunday at 5:00pm. For more information on these classes, click here.

Financial Peace University Begins March 7

One of the five learning opportunities that will begin on Sunday, March 7 at the Northwest campus is Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. Over the past several years, our church has become very familiar with Dave Ramsey and his unique teaching that has helped so many people break free from the bondage of debt. If you have never taken the Financial Peace University class, this is an ideal opportunity for you to learn how to manage your money in the way God intended. I promise that your life will be forever changed after applying the money management principles that you will learn in the class.  

The class will run for 13 weeks from 5:00 – 7:00pm beginning March 7 at the Northwest campus. The first six weeks will meet at the campus, while the remaining seven weeks will take in homes. Childcare will not be provided.

This class will be taught by Chad Arnold who has taught Financial Peace University classes before at the Northwest campus and has an incredible passion for helping people learn how they can manage their money in a Biblical way and live debt-free. MoMENtum Softball Team

MoMENtum is looking for a few good men… to play softball. The men’s ministry group at the Northwest campus is forming a softball team that will begin playing on March 22^nd. There is space for around 14 men to play on the team. Additionally, the group is looking for someone to coach the team. Estimated fees per player will be around $50 to $60. This fee will help cover league registration and t-shirts. The team will typically play on Thursday nights at the Legacy Sportsplex on NW 122^nd, between Western and Santa Fe.

New Classes Coming to the Northwest Campus This Spring

The Northwest campus is offering some incredible learning opportunities for LifeGroups this spring designed for those who want to take their next step and learn more about such things as their finances and marriages.  Beginning Sunday, March 7 from 5:00-6:30pm, the campus will be offering three different classes for you to choose from. These classes include:

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University – This is the best curriculum available that will teach you how to manage your money and gain freedom from the bondage of debt. Love and Respect – This series is designed to help married couples understand each other better. The basic concept is that the wife has one driving need – to feel loved, and the husband has one diving need – to be respected. You can learn more by clicking here.

The Heart of a Woman – This series is designed specifically for women.

Classes will meet on the campus for six weeks and then move into home LifeGroups. No childcare is provided.

Marriage Weekend coming February 26-27

As we are the midst of the Once Upon A Marriage sermon series, its seems more married and engaged couples have expressed a desire to learn more about how they can improve their marriage or prepare for the kind of Biblical marriage that God has called us to have. It is out of this desire that the Northwest campus has decided to devote an entire weekend to marriage development. This Marriage Weekend will be held at the campus on February 26 – 27. Whether you are a couple who is engaged, considering marriage, or married, there is something for you!

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect during the weekend:

Prep For Marriage, Friday 6-9pm & Saturday 8am-12pm, February 26-27
If you’re engaged or considering marriage, attend the Prep for Marriage sessions. Cost is $65 per couple. Dinner and childcare is provided. Email Deidra at deidra.mccall@lifechurch.tv to register.

Sessions for engaged couples include:
- Five Love Languages
- Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts
- Personality Types
- God, Love, Sex

Marriage Builder, Friday 6-9pm & Saturday 8am-12pm, February 26-27

Life Leader University

Life Leader University is the new curriculum designed to create improved leadership at the Northwest campus. In this class, leaders are studying John Maxwell’s 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and learning how they can apply these laws not just to LifeGroups, but to all areas of leadership at the Northwest campus.
